Apple Pay
Apple Pay is an Easy, Secure and Private way to make purchases.
As Easy as 1, 2, 3
- Look for the Pay Wave or Apple Pay symbol at checkout and hold your phone near the merchant’s contactless reader.
- Use Touch ID, Face ID or enter a passcode as instructed on your phone.
- Continue holding the phone near the contactless reader until your phone vibrates and beeps to let you know your payment has been accepted.
Some online merchants also offer Apple Pay as a payment option.
Secure
- Apple Pay requires the supported iPhone to have a Touch ID, Face ID or passcode setup on your device that is unique to you.
- Mobile device lost or stolen? Use the “Find My iPhone” feature to set your device in “lost mode” and disable purchasing ability, and the ability to get into the phone without a PIN entry. You can also wipe all information from your iPhone.
Private
After adding a BFG Debit Mastercard into digital wallet, the card’s sensitive data (card number, CVV and expiration date) is replaced with a randomly assigned token (number) as a unique reference to your card. When a digital wallet is used for payment, it only provides the secure, surrogate data (token) without exposing any of the original card details.
BFG Federal Credit Union and Apple Pay
The first card you add to Apple Pay will automatically become your default payment card. Go to Wallet to pay with a different card, add or remove any of your cards as needed.
